Anushka Sharma along with her modeling career, attended an acting class and started giving auditions for film. Anushka sharma began her film career in 2008, with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She took one day to get ready for her screen test and was unable to do an impractical version. Then, she signed on for three films together with Yash Raj Films. She played a role as the bride, who was young and married to a man who was middle age (the role that Shah Rukh Khan was portraying). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was in 2010's 'Badmash Company" together with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. This movie was met with mixed reviews. Anushka appeared alongside Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat' in which she portrayed a Punjabi middle class girl who launched her own venture. The film received a positive review. Anushka's contract to make three films with Yash Raj Films was completed with Band Baaja Baaraat.
