Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on 20 July 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is in charge of covering all things including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. As the daughter of 2 NASA astronauts Kristin has a background in the space industry and worked for the past five years covering the Trump and Biden Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. Over the course of this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Kristin travelled extensively, including both the vice president and president. She was even on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter before becoming a reporter for CBS in 2015. Kristin utilized her knowledge in front of the camera to launch Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films. It was also a favourite of corporate clients such as Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science of Journalism at Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
